Wachs is an author, educator, theater artist, and voice actor. Her debut memoir, Everything Is Horrible and Wonderful: A Tragicomic Memoir of Genius, Heroin, Love and Loss, was released by Sourcebooks, Inc. in February 2018. Wachs graduated from New York University Tisch School of the Arts before receiving her master’s from the UH School of Theatre and Dance. She is co-founder and owner of Rec Room in Houston and Executive Director of Rec Room Arts, a non-profit arts organization committed to developing innovative work across disciplines.
